I get asked this question a lot, and most people assume I have the typical story of starting as a service provider and branching off, but honestly, my story is the complete opposite of what you’d expect. I’ve never placed a lash, never waxed a brow, never performed a facial, and never even considered doing services because I’m simply not good with my hands.

What were some of the key challenges, and what was your process like? Yes, I had employees from day one — two lash artists and one brow artist. I started interviewing in October 2017, and we didn’t open until March 2018.

Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not? Yes, I’d hire me. I show up on time, I do things right, and I’m a little particular in the best way. I believe in hard work, accountability, and not cutting corners. I’m human, but if my name’s on it, it’s getting done properly.
